New to drum & bass? Want us to recommend you some tunes??? PLEASE READ!

I love my D&B Fast and full of those sexy prominent breaks, can anyone recommend me some tracks or artists who specifically produce tracks similar or exactly like these. I love this style of drum n bass overall, i'm not particularly a fan of neuro or jump up. I would greatly appreciate the favour lads if anyone can help a break lover out!

I'm fairly new to D&B as well. I've managed to discover some awesome tunes so far one of them being Free4orm & Mikrob - Vexed. Now this track was featured on the compilation "Replicant Audio vs. Critical Recordings" which was mixed by Cyantific. I don't know if any of you guys even remember this track since it never saw daylight. I messaged Mikrob on SoundCloud and he sent me a download link to this track. Can anybody recommend me tunes that are similar to that one? I've heard Marcus Intalex's Virgo too, which was released in 2011, but uses "Buzz Tracker" too to create that "dreamy" melody. I love that track too by the way.
Thank you in advance, guys!

Ok. Did read the text above. Tried clicking the link under sub genre "Hard", got an error. Page could not be found. So heres my question:

My favorite artists in the DnB genre are; Dj Hidden, Current Value, The Outside Agency and newly discovered Noisia. Any tips on other artists, worth checking out, playing this kind a DnB (guessing it falls under "hard")?

Thanks in advance.

i'm not sure, since hidden's dnb is pretty unique imo and the outside agency is more that 'crossbreed' (dnb/hc hybrid) thing, but here's a small list with different types of harder dnb anyway.

broken note

the panacea

forbidden society

katharsys

audio

dean rodell

deathmachine

donny

the dj producer

spl

additionally i'd recommend to check out some stuff from the ones like switch technique, eye-d, cooh, the sect, throttler, limewax, technical itch, peter kurten, zardonic, paul blackout, counterstrike, sinister souls...

Hey guys i've been listening to Drum and Bass for quite sometime now. Recently i was listening to a UK radio station and they had a track playing that i really liked but am unable to locate the name or artist. The only talking that happened in the track was a woman screaming "Johnny" and a male voice saying "Johnny's dead". If anyone knows the name of this track and the artist it would be much appreciated.

this one?

Techstep recommendations? Classic/new, dark and atmospheric or rolling, whatever you've enjoyed listening to

Also is Ed Rush and Optical - Wormhole techstep or neurofunk? I know neuro is techstep but not all techstep is neuro

Might be splitting hairs but the reason I'm asking is because I'm a bit sick of all the releases I've been hearing on UKF Drum n Bass, with the squonky basslines and stupid ass buildup/breakdown formula. Nothing wrong with the structure, just too many tracks using it.

wow it appears i have been tricked oh noes

actual recommendation please not progressive nu disco vomit

There's alot of sick 90's techstep and I like the kind of grimy scifi vibe of it. Basically anything from No u turn and the torque compilation is sick. I think the torque ed rush mix is on youtube. There's also Dom and Roland's Industry with some cool tracks like Thunder.Panacea's first album Low Profile Darkness also has sick vibes. You could go on Position Chrome's Bandcamp, its all there along with Current Value's old stuff which is like really weird and repetitive but also kind of sick. If youve come from mostly listening UKF then this stuff would be pretty far out but once you get to like it its sick. As for wormhole, subgenres don't really matter but I think it was considered a little different from techstep because it was funkier and had less jungle influences but whatever.

Cool, thanks for the recommendations. Does anyone still make techstep now or do they just take techstep influences and put it into whaterver dnb they're producing atm?
