New track called Break it Down. Produced with Logic Pro 9. Please provide any and all feedback. In particular I'm wondering how the sub turned out? I'm working with Yamaha HS80s, but do not have a subwoofer. Also, I used Ozone 5 to master the final copy and wondering if there are any issues in the mix I should be aware of like the highs or mid range. thanks guys and if you think its totally crap let me know also. Like I said any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Sounds really good few things i might change the repetitive swoosh and maybe bit more drum variation but it doesn't sound bad on second thought the swooshes are probably fine, perhaps connect all swooshes and just add low pass filter to make it build up a bit more(around 1 min to 1:30) you may need something else to make the bass come in stronger, I also think maybe 1 more strong hat/shaker to make the top end sound a bit more splashy, but only say this because it does sound like its missing a little bit of energy but I'd also love to hear even less hats like just kick snare and a few different basses to make the second half really stand out, can't comment on mix/mastering using $20 headphones. Faved and downloaded this though good job!

Awesome feedback Pattycake. I will make some changes as I felt it was a little repetitive as well in the second half. Thanks so much. I'll check your soundcloud page. Cheers

good job, your sub sounds fine to me - it's there but not overbearing and I can hear the kick through it too. The swooshes make it sound a bit 'watery' through the sub though might want to try and filter that out if not intended (bit like rolf harris is playing his wobble board :) ). Good production though and your levels seems right to me.

thanks so much. I'll work on the swoosh. I've only just started producing, but have been in to the music since 93. Really appreciate the feedback and will work on tightening up the mix. Cheers!
