New Soundcard

Hey guys.. Just had a new pc built, but the motherboard i needed only came with pcie slots, so my old m-audio 2496 is now pretty much useless.. Anyone know of anything that will pretty much rival the 2496? I pretty much need a carbon copy, but must be pci express only.. Or possibly a usb one, but i have absolutely no knowledge of these at all

Have you tried searching the forum? I'm positive there are several posts that have addressed this topic. IMO, avoid PCI-E interfaces because it becomes a pain in the arse having to deal with all those cables. Stick with USB or Firewire if you can.

Thanks for the reply mate.. Found one in the end, went for PCIE as my setup is perfect for an onboard solution..
