new OS rant

bollox i say. i just installed win 7 64bit because i wanted to make use of my 4GB of RAM. now i have this mad inspiration to make tunes but 25 pieces of software installing stand in the way.... interface drivers, interface interface (this stupid emu control panel thing), install fruity, install reaper, install 20 plugins, download 10 free ones i didn't backup ("hey it's free so i can get it off the net when i need it"), copying my sample library from a backup disc, configuring audio programs, trying to figure out why nothing comes out of the speakers, bashing the midi keyboard 'cause it don't work' until i realise i havent installed the driver, configure reaper like it was before......................................

ARGH. Maybe I'll become a hot rock guitar player instead. at least they dont have to worry about this shit.
