struggled with this one, any advice would be great, haven't bothered posting build because it needs obvious changing which I'm working on

Not bad mate, I like the kick, have a play around with the snare to make it more prominent. The tune needs a phat sub though underneath, if you're using massive or equivalent synth give it a sine wave at a low octave, put it underneath and maybe follow the notes of the riff. Make sure your sub is mono.

EQ and spectrum analysers are your friends

I think the "yoy" bass is a bit too loud. I think you should work a bit more on the snare, maybe make it punch a bit more throught the mix. I'm not really into jump up but it was still fun to listen to your track
