New Jump Up Synth Sounds???

I use massive too and i wouldn't doubt its ability to make these sounds tbh. its so versatile. I've just bought Serum and you can create your own waveforms on that but i still gravitate towards massive. I reckon ill have one of those eureka moments when it just clicks and i get that sound that I'm after but I've got a feeling there's just as much to do with plug ins and processing than there is with the synth itself

oh yeah dont get me wrong massive is such an amazing synth kudos to NI its such a powerhouse, just obviously as does every synth it has its limitations so maybe id find it easier getting the sounds on a different synth, but im not too sure. either way i'll be buying sylenth & serum!

Yo I think I have some patches like these, let me dig around and see what I can find for you :2thumbs:

Yooooo that'd be sick if you do man! If you cant find em don't suppose youd give us a quick rundown of what waveforms / filters you used roughly just to give us some ideas? much appreciated!

Sound Lads! I come across a few sounds like guv, maji , hedex ect. There not for masssive there actually bass one shots i've re-sampled myself , there from a collection of loops i had in a sample pack which i chopped up and the rest speaks for itself if you want them reply and i'll send them over to you .

Yeah please mate that'd be brilliant!

You can definitely get these sounds made in massive, the trick to making them bigger is post processing, the FX you add after the synth. things like compressors, filters, distortion, chorus, reverb, saturation etc are what takes the sound to the next level.

I'd put money on the initial sounds being a simple saw wave. The rest is done outside of the synth within your FX chain

A lot of great insight in this thread for someone who's up and coming, I don't think it's progressive though to try and recreate sounds like for like. If I go onto Juno and go through the jump up charts I keep hearing the same sounds over and over, that Guv style synth is rinsed and rinsed. Imo, that's what's enabled artists like Annix to come through is flipping the scene on its head and really coming in with fresh sounds. Just food for thought, as much as I think learning how to replicate these sounds is a useful tool.

anyone who flames you saying the age old "stop trying to recreate other people's sounds is fucking full of shit imho... all creativity is spawned through influence and if anyone says different they're liars....

i've been putting together a package of massive patches for you guys, i'm off the next five days so I will get it uploaded for you I promise as I know I've been slacking :2thumbs:

Big ups man!!

And yeah totally agree.. all music is spawned from one kid listening to a track in his room and it inspiring him to make something new, i agree that new synth sounds need to be made and we need to stop recycling the same squelch, but everything comes from previous inspiration... thats the beauty of DnB, resampling, processing, it's one of the most open genres out there and I love it for that :D

I've only been producing for about 8/9 months but this is what I'm currently working on -

I dunno if you have seen any of the tutorials by ARTFX on youtube but there's quite a good one, which is bass related, but the idea can be applied to a lead easily.

He basically uses the performer to modulate various parameters then bounces to audio and chops it up - quite an interesting way to work.

Might be worth checking out

Hey guy's, finally got round to sorting those sounds out. There's 10 or so wav's and the rest are massive preset's. What would be the easiest way to send them to people?

Zippyshare? Might have to put them up as individual files though - not sure on thesize limit for uploads.
Or Email?

Yoooo Guys can someone hmu with some massive presets please I really wanna know how to make them from scratch but I don't know how to work massive yet so if you could send some presets or tutorials to nukingyourears@gmail.com it would be great
