Artist: High Contrast
Title: Remind Me
Date: 8 April, 2016
Listen on Juno.
What is 3beat?
the beats are weak but for a pop&bass tracks it's rather nice
Full version is already on Youtube
I assume it's still the label that was associated to 3 Beat Records in Liverpool ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_Beat_Records ).
Remember visiting the shop in the mid 90's as a teenager.
Yes, it doesn't sound very experimental, but I would be glad to hear more of stuff like that on the radio.
I wouldn't want to hear this MORE on the radio then other pop music - it's pop music. I rather hear James Blake, Jack Garatt or Woodkid. Something with substance. This has none.
Granted it's not as bad as some Netsky.
Not much to it really, but its better than anything he has done in a good while all the same.
I like the drums, the vocals are okay I guess but what the hell..the rest sounds a bit cheapish tbph.
I hear Twin peaks too, wouldn´t buy. Free would be too much.
the last two good songs he's done in a while IMO. Some Things Never Change is an awesome tune... but I guess Who's Loving You Is a bit of a stretch.
When I heard that track I thought it was the old High Contrast back again. Hasn't put out much since so I still hold hope.
Well, the man himself discribes his new song ("Remind Me") as return to his old sound, according to this UKF interview. Also he announces a whole album coming out on 3Beat this year.
If the album is a return to his old sound, then I'm interested in hearing it.
Track isnt that bad, reminds a little bit of old High Contrast sound.
Let's hope so.
I do like the Jupiter 8 bass, gives it kind of a retro feel.
Anyone indiciation as to why he left Hospital?
I don't think he left it for good.
Sampling may be one of the reasons, as he says:
His hair looks a bit off now that he's got a bit of a fivehead going on The fro looked better way back when https://www.instagram.com/p/BELl3rJzRNB/
