Hey guys!
My name is Matt, I'm 18 and I live in Slough :)|)

I recently got into Drum & Bass, and i find the deeper i look into it, the more i find, and the more i like! :)

Pendulums old stuff is really what got the ball rolling for me, i loved the songs like Masochist and Tarantula. I'm not keen on their new stuff, but it's due to their new electro rock take on music that led to me broadening my horizons to the likes of Dj Hype / Hazard etc!

I recently got some Dnb arena albums and love them!
Hype's being a favorite of mine!

And with the music, comes a new way of life for me! I've started going to Dnb parties / Raves / Clubs and i fucking love it!

I'd still consider myself a Dnb nub! and would ask that you bare with me until i find my Drum and Bass bearings :]!
I'll try browse as much as possible and pick up on the Lingo!

Enough about me!
Hope i fit in round here!
I'm a nice guy, and try to respect opinions (EVEN OVER THE INTERWEBS!)

Matt!...

no probs bruv massive welcome to the forum, early Pendulum for me too was the most easily accessible dnb out there, as i didnt at the time know many dnb acts so they were one of the first alongside BC and Ganja Kru

True shit.. Well Welcome to the forums.

Some DnB artists to look out for:
Noisia
Spor
Subfocus
Brookes Brothers (for da soul luvers)
Phace
Chase and Status
Evol Intent (a bit teky 4 me)

Cheers guys!

@Safety- It's a nickname i was given. It's a reference to something.

Are there any must have dnb albums i should get?
Like a Hype and Hazards greatest hits album or something :] ?

Fucking Love Killers don't die and Machete at the moment!

Hype did three mix cd's called drum and bass essentiels
a few years ago. The track listing is a little dated now but
it's fucking quality! (no machete or killers though im afraid lol)
Although ive heard Hazard may be doing a mix cd in the near
future.

Wonder what that might be ;)

Welcome!

There's so much D&B beyond Hazard-style. His is the best to jump around to in the rave but there are better styles to listen to in the car, at home or whatever.

My advice is get the Drum & Bass Arena Classics album - http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=455508 - for a bit of education

And also Andy C's first DNBA album - http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=109816 - that includes most different types of "modern" D&B so will help you get a feeler for what you are really into.

Also check the Mixes & Track Listings section!

bon-fucking-jour my friend!! big up the berkshire kru (im from Reading).

there are no greatest hits CDs in DnB... look in mixes section for mental mixes (y)
