do you listen to dub phizix? you've got a similar vibe just need to bring up the energy more.

this needs, imo, some soundscape atmosphere. and some of the percussive elements in the 2nd drop need to be fit into the mix better, they stand out a little too much and don't create that sense of movement that they could.

that drum at 2:04 is cool. at 2:14 you should try hitting it once and giving it a 1/4 delay until the drop.

id say mix the percussive elements lower, try to give them some more movement with different volume levels and layer up another snare or rimshot so the snare really hits hard. maybe beef the kick up, with a bit more of a click.

cheers man I'm really enjoying listening.

    Thanks for the replies!

equilibrium: Cheers for taking the time to give such detailed feedback, i appreciate it. I kind of wanted the percussive elements to be the driving force with in the drums if you know what i mean? But i do get the point that your making, I'm a big Dub Phizix fan and am building towards creating that energy that his tunes have, this is a 140bpm track however so that could explain the lack of energy perhaps?

But yeah man, thats some really useful feedback! Thanks a lot and cheers for the link to the samples, i shall get on that later! big up!

Ritual: Glad you like and thanks for listening. Yeah i often try putting in mid range bass but the frequencies always seem to clash with other things in the mix and i end up just leaving it out lol, ill keep it in mind though, big up to you!

    Thanks again boyos!!

i really like the percussion, could do with some atmosphere or a more prominent bass, but good effort either way
