I just dropped an ableton Frequency Shifter on a finished mid bass and it adds some amazing phase/flange movement!!!! Set the dry/wet to 15%, the amount to 15hz. and rate to about 0.05hz. play with those perimeters and you'll get great results. As for other DAWs. . . . . . . side chain a pitch shifter I'd guess.
I figured I'd share because I never seen this on any tut or masterclass video yet and it seems like it was the missing ingredient I needed.
