I've been wondering about this "reese uppitched subbass thing" (1:06) some time now, how it was made ect. Do you guys know anything about it? I just got a sub bass on my track and want something more "hearable" and not something harsh sound like a square

If you want your bass to be more audible you will just need extra harmonics above the sub frequency, so it is just a matter of using a square or a saw and low-passing or eq-ing off the harshness. A bit of light overdrive will fill out the sound also.

This sound is maybe easiest to make with Massive. I bet there are oscillators that sound almost the same without even too complex filtering.
