Nerve Recordings - press release - May 2006..

Well, with the promo release of Nerve 19 on the horizon we thought it was time for a wee update on the future releases from our camp!

Up on promo in a week or two is Nerve 19 - a double aside featuring Cartridge & Pyro feat Jesta & Techtronix. Cartridge delivers a chunky slice of dnb on a techy tip but with an old skool lean in "Edge City" while Pyro teams up with Jesta & Techtronix for a slice of uplifting futuristic dnb in "Cho".

Up next we have our 20th release - and another double aside - this time first up we have D Struct with some techy dancefloor destruction in the form of "Merkaba" - this ones been tearing up dancefloors around the world for the past few months and we're proud to let it off its leash and release it on wax. D Struct has built up a steady reputation over the past year with releases on Barcode and Moving Shadow as part of the Robot Death Squad and Identity collectives and his remix of Fission's "Ormus" for Barcode has been picking up play from the major players in the scene. On the flip we're proud to welcome Fanu, a name synonymous with top quality, cutting edge drum and bass, and for us, he delivers the epic "From Afterlife She Speaks" . Crushing amens pound the dancefloor while subtle harmonies and vocal snippets float over proceedings, drawing the listener into a darker world while keeping a dancefloor edge. Fanu's unique blend of beats have found homes on labels as diverse as Subtitles, Commercial Suicide and Offshore and he's soon to launch his own Lightless Recordings. For our 21st release, we welcome ASC. A name very familiar to those interested in deeper dancefloor beats! With a discography spanning some of the finest labels in the scene, from Inperspective to Nu Directions to the mighty Good Looking, ASC has forged a name for himself over the years while keeping his integrity intact and maintaining his mission to spread the gospel of deeper, atmospheric beats. First up we have "The Pursuit" - an epic slice of dancefloor edged dnb - pounding drums lead the track alongside spacey atmospherics and rollin bass, before the track drops to a flat 4/4 breakdown, guaranteed to smash up the dancefloor! On the flip "Frozen Shores" heads towards deeper territory, with a nod towards late 90's tech step. More info on ASC - http://www.cov-ops.co.uk/asc

So check out all the tracks if you get a mo and let us know what you think - feedback is always appreciated!
After these, there'll be releases from Morphy and Pyro…but more about that later!
