Dont wanna spend loads on em really. I would and can get technics but its just inpractical at the mo so i dont wanna shell out on a good set.

I basically want a set up thats good for the mixin styles that comes with dnb.

    Any ideas?

You could try CDJs or something? A couple of Numark Axis 4s and a cheap mixer would be small and portable, plus you will end up with some CD decks you can use at home.

topaz is right, going back to my old decks with my mate is horrible compared to mixing on technics, no where near as precise.

Honestly, if you must buy anything other than technics, you really can't do better than stanton. Even the cheaper models are a pleasure to mix on.
Pesonally, i'd just get a bag of bud and head to Southsea!!

Got to disagree on this, well kind of.. I have technics and my mate has kam's and yeah when i go round its a pretty strong difference but its not as if you can't pull off a mix on them.. And also think how good it would be to be mixing on shit decks, then coming back home from iraq and finding some beautiful technics sitting there for you!

    DO NOT BUY SHIT.

Techs are the only decks that last & have a resale value. No one will want to buy a set of used gemini/stanton garbage gear.

If you are not ready for techs, then try renting some if you are short on cash. You will be better off than spending on garbage.
