easy all,

im new to all this i have dj'd for years but really want to start producing.

i have got a copy of reason 4 just sat on my laptop.

so basically im a complete and utter novice treat me like a idiot is there any guides to beta structures drop points/mastering ext.....

any help would be greatly apreciated

not really sure what ur asking?


if its how u make drum and bass, then its with ur ears...

but before we get into structure and EQing and that ur gonna need to learn firstly to sequence ur drums (making a pattern in redrum, and copying the pattern to the track through right clicking on redrum)

secondly once uv laid down a drum track ur gonna want to add some devices for your synth using malstrom, subtractor and more importantly thor.

Load up some pre-made patches from the reason factory sound bank and have a look at how they are made so eventually u can learn to make your own patches.


if u want to know how to structure a drum and bass track then thats simple, listen to some drum and bass and try and do the same thing!!! good luck friend
