Hey guys bought a pair of 2nd hand Kams (DDX-580) a while back but the tone arm on one of them is pretty fucked and I need to upgrade. I've been thinking about saving for a pair of 1210s off ebay but I'm not sure if its just worth getting a slightly downgraded pair for less money? I should have about 400 quid after Christmas

tbh most people will tell u to buy technics
and u probably should
but to be fair they all do the same thing. as long as they are not belt drive you will be fine.
go with what you can afford.
if u can stretch to afford 2nd hand technics i would. they have stood the test of time for good reasons.

£400 will get you a set of 1200/1210 no problem, just keep looking on eBay, loads on there. The only other TT to consider for that price/quality with be the Stanton str8150's.

^^ thats all u need to know really. as its already been said pretty much everyone will advise technics and for good reason.
