This is a tutorial to make a similar synth to the one heard in Noisia's tracks. This is just the raw synth, try adding some more distortion using ohmnicide! Automate the macro controls for some really nasty sounds! I have made some really nasty stuff with this!

sounds pony you do realize that when your applying the first macro control that by default its also applying vibrato to the waves overall?

if you want a really nasty reese kids look no further that this tut

Hmmm, interesting. Nice attempt, but I think you've still got a long way to go before that becomes Noisia-like... Like you said, needs some distortion.

Here's a little signal chain a mate sent over for me when I was having trouble getting decent neurofunk style basslines;

"Reece bass... try this kind of signal chain:

A fat synth e.g. Massive - 3 osc: saw, saw (detune ~10 cents) and a sine to fatten it up) - the phase oscillation on Massive sounds like it could be useful too!

HP filter plugin - 24dB slope, no rez, cutoff @ min ready to automate. Always good to add a little distortion at the filter if possible, not much, maybe 10%. Soundtoys Filterfreak is awesome.

Distortion - a dedicated distortion plugin - the distortion built into softsynths is usually a bit weak sounding. Try Ohmicide, Devastor or Decapitator (my favourite). Guitar amp simulators are good too. You want loads of drive and the mix at about 60% wet. If you put the mix 100% wet you'll loose a lot of the bottom end.

LP filter - 24dB slope, no rez, cutoff max ready to automate. Once again, always good to add another little bit of distortion here!

Compressor (fairly gentle settings, more of a limiter really to squeeze maybe an extra 4-6dB out of it)

Low cut @ 80Hz - leave room for the sub to work below 80Hz

Having that distortion plugin after the high pass filter will really help bring out the top end and create that 'whip' sound when you automate the HP filter cutoff!"


Also, I'm not sure if you intended to leave the vibrato in Macro 1, but you didn't turn on the Pitch Spread when you adjusted it.
