Thank you for the feedback. What signal path do you suggest? What do you hear that I am dong wrong?

think he means youre overprocessing your drums. snare and kick both sound very artificial and not really "in the mix".

synth work is sick tho!!

Thanks! Synths have always been more fun for me to program. Yea, I kind of got that from his post. One of the things I have found helpful during a critiquing process is to give a corrective action to remedy the problem.

then id say take the ratio and threshold of the compression down
