Overusing the effects a bit too much but good job for a first mix!

get some turntables dude.. there not that expensive and there so much better than virtual DJ.. you could always get something like Serato.. time coded vinyl if you like your MP3s

no offence but no one will show much love for a Virtual DJer

    This!

There's mixing on turntables, then there's mixing on CDJ's or USB Controllers. But that Virtual DJ doesnt require any beat matching skills at all!

in my opinion dnb should only be mixed with vinyl, its the way its always ment to be, leave cdj's and laptops to the electro house faggots.

No offence mate but i taught my girlfriend how to hold out a mix on virtual dj in about 5 minutes, and trust me thats saying something. Get hold of some turntables mate, and if they're too expensive some budget cd decks maybe?

what you gotta remember some people dont have the cash to go and buy decks, cdjs, serato etc. If he is only starting out why shudnt he mess about on some software?, gotta learn somewhere to get the feel for mixing. but yeh, turntables/cdjs/serato are the way forward if you wanna take things more seriously.

don't slate virtual dj too much.

i love the program, i started out much like this guy messing around on my laptop. it allowed me learn and understand how mixing works, taught me some good skills.

i still like to mess around with iit as its much easier doing a new mix or to try something new than on my decks. plus it gives u a good indication of what bpm tunes are.

my advise is this: once your sure you really wanna dj and you have a good understanding on mixing, go out and buy a pair of 1210's and some wax. keep at it.

    True true,

How much does Virtual DJ cost?

If someones looking to just grasp the concept of using pitch control to beat match there's plenty of dual CD or USB decks for around £120 to £200. They're cheap, and they allow a beginner to get used to using a pitch slider.

    300 $
    Or 30 day (?) trial.

But seriously, this guy definatly didn't pay for it. And know what, i don't care. As long as he doesn't make profits out of it and uses it for messing around...

What an atrocious and ungrounded statement...

Virtual Dj is a no no tho...get what knowledge you can off it (new post a mix with it) and move on, and tbh this can be done in a 30 day trail period...

I guess there will always be a backlash if someone uploads a mix off Virtual DJ and asks for feedback on a Forum where the vast majority of DJ's use Turntables, CDJ's or USB/midi controllers.
