just got back from a weekend visiting my old dear and come back to find that my cunty fucking pet gerbils have escaped!!

not only that but theyve chewed through my grounding wire on my 1210's.

i managed to fix thisa but whilst fixin it i managed to fuck the pitch up!!!! doh!

now one of my decks' pitch doesnt work at all...

is there any way of fixin the bastard. cos i dont think i can last mucjh longer with no tunage.

i dont wanna have to go to a repair centre cos theyre rip off merchants (no offence to anyone who might own a reapair shop) and id rather fix it myself.

can you buy spare pitch adjusters for technics? if so from where.

cheers!!!!!!! i am going mad!! :gaywhite: :antitank: :burn: :-x

dunno if u can just get the spares, contact through technics website would be a good place to start.

Pitch control went on one of my old 1210's, sent it through a local shop and ended up costing me about £80 (I think they sent it to another place to be done)

Did you mercilessly slaughter the gerbils in cold blood?

Thats what I would have done mate.....

Nasty rodent things, heh

hey lokki, as far as i know you can buy replacement pitch faders, i'm not sure where, but i reckon start at the dj shops like sapphires etc.....that's a bummer innit.... have you tried switch cleaner yet? could it be that's all it needs?

Glad you got the big C thing sorted out, i bloody hate going to the doctors, especially for something personal... BIG UP, musta taken some courage... Well Done...

technics are a fucking pain in the arse to repair, i'd not touch it unless you're incredibly precise with a soldering iron.
Often you need to unfix joints and redo them.

You usually get charged about 50 for slider and 30 for service. 30 is a small price to pay for a working deck, even tho most the time will be a teabreak
