beatalistics’ third vinyl album sampler anouncing the forthcoming cd compilation “HiVitality - vital styles of drumnbass” presents “Dirty Diamond” by germany’s drumnbass veteran MTC Yaw. The Berlin based DJ delivers an outstanding tune: The catchy rhodes piano theme combined with a driving beat and bass arrangement makes the track a guaranteed floor filler. A real drumnbass diamond, raw and shining!
The flip features Dub Tao’s “More Trouble”, based on a reggae sample that stays in mind once you’ve heard it, pushed forward by a dubby sub bass lifting you up. The number one tune of the drumnbass download charts!

    MTC Yaw

Born in Berlin MTC YAW spend his childhood in London being influenced by the british music scene. In 1986 he moved back to Germany and in early 94’ he started deejaying.
On his production, his remix of the Roots hit single “You got me” showed people that there is a new name in German drumnbass ... “MAN THEY CALL YAW”. Now living in Berlin he is on the lookout for new influences. In team with Syncopix he runs the drumnbass label “form recordings” and has already released on Nu:Tone’s “Brand:nu” imprint.

    Dub Tao

On the recommendation of Syncopix beatalistics label heads Stadler&Waldorf requested a promo cd of the Berlin-based duo Dub Tao. Infected by their organic and reggae related sound they got in touch with these two drummers. Over the past 15 years, both members of the group have worked on a variety of musical projects and have developed a wide-ranging musical background. After releasing on “hard:edged” and “Soundtrax” they present their dubby vibes on germany’s finest drumnbass imprint - beatalistics.

    the label

beatalistics is a record label for club music based in Bremen/Germany and founded by the DJs Stadler&Waldorf. beatalistics releases on CD, vinyl or mp3 are both: dancefloor tools for club DJs and sparkling sound sources for home hifi systems.
