Soo I live in San Diego, California, USA and I'm thinking about moving to the UK (somewhere around London) With a friend to go to school for either production or maybe just Audio Engineering. I wanna know what the possibility's are of me finding some good housing and a job over there, and even some good schools. I've always wanted a career in Music so I figure why not go to someplace where the music I love is a big scene, since the USA isnt too educated on DnB yet.

Adding to this,

I know there are schools here for music production and such, but this isn't just for school and the music scene, but for everything great in the UK. It would be a really great experience whether things go horribly wrong, absolutely right, or in between.
I'm really just doing research here and there to see the possibilities of this happening, and this idea was kind of thrown out there. However, it could always turn into a serious decision.

Everyone in the UK always says its shit, but I fucking guarentee you if they moved anywhere else they'd fucking hate it after a couple of months.

Fact is, no one does life like we do in the UK. We have (and I stand by this) the best nightlife culture in the world. We're the best country in the world for getting fucked up in. We've got the best fucking student scene in the world, and we've got bucket tons of attitude as a nation. Yeah, sure most of the world hates us. Hell, even we fucking hate us.

But as someone who has had the privilege of seeing a decent percentage of the world, trust me when I say, there's no place like home.

This.. seriously? Why move from San diego or whatever you said to here?! Really not that great tbh
I've been here for 22 years now and I'm tired of the same old shit. Id rather make a journey of my life so I can at least have a good story when I get old lol

Absolute tosh to those who diss uk, its bad its good and its ugly

Why deter someone from experiencing the world from your own fish bowl eyes???

Its not all about seeing the glamour of the world, its about embracing other peoples cultures and pastimes and moving onwards, if you have the opportunity seize it and take it !

One regret i have in life so far is not seeing enough of the world, hopefully oneday i will do this, dont let some snotty teens tell you otherwise about the uk, it has loads to offer with culture and experiences, get yourself over here man! if you dont like it then scoot off around europe the possibilties are endless

Couldnt have said it better myself. Since I'm young and dont really have any ties to anything here I dont see why I wouldnt travel somewhere to try and make something of myself.

Travelling is the best thing in the world IMO. No better feeling for me than arriving in a completely unknown environment and trying to set yourself up. Good luck to you mate. The UK's not that bad at all. All I can say to everyone that thinks its shit is,

WHY NOT JUST LEAVE IF ITS THAT SHIT?
