Trailer Monegros Festival 2010

This year will see the 16th edition of Monegros Desert Festival. And few events in the world can claim such a long and successful career.

The story of Monegros starts in 1993 when 200 people, at the end of a session in the club F135, decided to continue the party as a Rave in a nearby house. This place, where the festival still takes place, is by the National II, one of the most famous roads in Spain connecting Barcelona and Madrid, which runs across more than 100 kilometres of the Monegros Desert, an amazing land full of hills with brown tonalities that remind us of an American Western.

The spontaneous idea of mixing techno and adventure worked perfectly, and that small audience soon became huge: the festival grew by word of mouth and thanks to some brave DJs that, together with a dedicated audience, affronted the dog days of the desert.

One more year, time is flying by! There are only a few days left to the 16th edition of Monegros. The biggest electronic music festival, the biggest rave in Spain. A lot of terms are used in an attempt to describe this festival, however it is literally impossible to put in plain words if you have not had the chance to attend it. A spectacular production and an amazing place. A party. An adventure. Just an unforgettable experience.

Monegros confirms along the years its status as a major player in the festival circuit. Set in the desert, 40 000 people, 22hrs non-stop music, on 5 simultaneous stages, alternating between Electro, Techno, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass & Dubstep, the 16th edition of Monegros promises another unique event.

Busta Rhymes, 2 Many DJs (Live) and Bloody Beetroots Deathcrew 77 are amongst the latest acts confirmed for this year's Festival, as well as Marco Carola vs Loco Dice, Joker and The Bug featuring Flowdan.

This adds up to the list of artists already confirmed such as Pendulum (live), Laurent Garnier (live), Buraka Som Sistema (live), Ritchie Hawtin, Luciano, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Popof (live), Technasia (live) Digitalism, Sub Focus, Caspa and many many more.
