All the time tbh. But to be more specific, most often to cut lows after making some midrange sound 50/50 stereo with haas effect or some other equally drastic method (like double tracking).
Thanks man!. I don't do much to expand the stereo field outside of reverb/panning and ping pong echo but am looking to incorporate more of it in my tracks.
I do - often to get the icing on the cake to get the highs to shine more out of sides, and put some of the lower frequencies through mid rather than side.
