After the success of the Mojo launch party featuring Marcus Intalex, we return to Hooga for part 2 featuring one of the pioneers of the liquid funk and soulful dnb scene, from Shogun Audio, the one and only Alix Perez. Alix has been responsible for some of the greatest soulful tracks to bless our ears such as Contradiction, Melanie, Solitary Native, Foresaken and his ground-breaking debut album 1984.
In true Mojo style, djs on the night will be taking you through a cross section of musical genres beginning with a chill out reggae / hip hop set from our host for the evening MC Indica. Following this we gradually move the tempo up to 130 into a blend of Future Garage & Grime from Jimmy Schultz.
With a tempo rise to 140 we move into the sounds of deep Dubstep with Haydes at the controls. Stepping the tempo up once again to 170 beats per minute, Intense newest & youngest recruit ‘Jammy’ will ease us into the sounds of liquid funk, warming up the Mojo faithful for the imminent arrival of our headline act, none other than Alix Perez. The Shogun Audio assassin will be joined by MC Mantmast for a 90 minute onslaught of the finest and freshest dnb around!!
Following Alix we have the Intense Records residents Andy Flow, Wise One & Wasted Talent taking us into the early hours of the morning with a soulful selection of bass music!! For all you bassheads that like it loud, this whole event will be powered by a Function One Sound System, the only way to listen to live music!!!!!
