MIXING TIPS

Hey guys could anyone give me a few tips when it comes down to mixing tunes once their beat matched. (Im talking eq effects etc.)

Don't keep the bass on both tunes, sounds messy and weird. NOt all tunes but most i think

if u can wire up a midi controller like i do with serato u can use the filters to cut the frequency add echo for repeated spin backs etc at the touch of a button - i use korg nano kontrol £30 of amazon , bang on , use the filter to cut the bass for eg. on the choon mixing out as pointed out by dont like cops , hope this helps!

watch other djs @ club what they are doing, helps you alot and you´ll learn quickly when to bring what tune in

Bring in the tune more and more every 4th/8th/16 or whateva, adjust EQs so you don't muddle the sound or lose energy in the mix, pick tunes that complimet eachother, etc etc

Yeah...
Never have 2 basses imo unless its a breakdown but even then low frequencies can conflict with each other
