mixing jungle with drum and bass

yo just recently started mixing some jungle into dnb, i can beat match it an everything but i always find the jungle tune just drops in some random place, like 1/3rd of the way into a phrase or something. Is this supposed to happen?

Jungle tunes are less regular than modern dnb. They won't always fit into 16 bar sequences. You need to learn how tracks are structured. So if a track drops after 24 bars, release it mid sequence.

You just have to sit down and listen to the tunes man, take note of the drops and any random breaks etc. You'll learn each track and it's structure that way man.

I bought my first jungle vinyl to recently and I had / have some problems with mixing to it but once you get to know your tunes better and better the mixing will go better and better to.. make shure you're always prepared for the "unexpected changes" in your jungle tunes..
