Am i supposed to learn how to mix first really good before learning to scratch? Or can i do both?
running before walking?
but also horses for courses....
i know a guy that cant mix/blend. only scratch/juggle. pretty amazing really. gets through every set that way.
if you can scratch like Qbert then yeah haha
I would always prefer to learn the basics before gettin into scratchin but theres nothin to say you wont be able to scratch before/at the same time as learning to mix, one step at a time though imo : )
i tried scratching... failed
I love having a pop at scratchin', practice makes perfect an all that sheeet
Yeah makes no difference at all when you learn to scratch. Its always good to take a break from the struggle that can be learning to beat match with a bit of hiphop on and a good scratch!
To scratch well you must check out youtube vids because scratching done badly, well just pisses people off and sound terrible. Record your scratching over a track and listen back to it, garentteed the first few times it'll be shit..
I cant beatmatch yet so I learned scratching first, seems easier to me.
