Is there any point in mixing in key for dubstep?

The genre is so wack and all over the place it seems a bit pointless.

You should try listening to proper dubstep and not just that wobble shite you mix

For me when it comes to dubstep, it's all about sub-bass laid back vibes and reggae style.

Irrelevent to this topic? Yes, but I felt I had to share.

I mix the tracks that I like, not everyone has to have the same taste in music
I'm not trying to be the next robostep superstar here or something

Thats totally your choice, I find that style boring! But who cares what I think! Honestly...

I was technicly giving him advise if he thinks the stuff he is mixing is "so whack and all over the place" then maybe he should try mixing a different style?

I aint hating, he can listen to whatever he wants... its his ears.

It has its moments where it can make a dancefloor go sick, but I find a full set of wobble and screatches is boring

As said above I wasnt really having a go I was just stating if you dont like the shit your mixing try something else....

Okay, back to the original point of this thread...

Using the program "mixed in key":

Is it worth my time to organize some of the more crazy wobble midrange style tracks into key types?
They seem to have so many crazy sounds that it seems pointless. I am just wondering if anyone has an opinion on that...

To me it doesn't seem like it makes a difference, wondering if anyone else has ever tried it out

MIK can help with the more melodic style of dubstep like in dnb but imo it can be used with "wobble" .. To be fair dunno why you didnt just give it a go and save the thread hehe :p

a mix mixed in key is definately more worthy than one that is not, IMO
