This is really something i should learn to do myself, but anyway...

i've got a track in the works that's very nearly finished, however, i blew up my amp (literally...there was smoke) about a week ago, and stepped on my sennheiser cans a few months ago, so i've basically been listening back to what i've been doing through fucking crApple ipod earphones, and naturally have absolutely no proper feel for the levels.

So i'm asking if someone would be willing to give it a quick mixdown, i don't need a pro job, i just need to know that it will sound reasonable through speakers, headphones, earphones etc. before uploading it and sharing it as a finished job.

I'll cut you in on the royalties if i get it signed

pan your bass all the way to the left and your snare drum all the way to the right, also overdrive your cymbals by at least 30db to get a nice clear sound.

just get a couple of tracks that you think are mixed perfectly and use em as references when mixing.

i dont see why you would want someone to mixdown your tracks for you seems to defeat the purpose of being a producer
if you dont know how to mixdown you need to learn etc

this is true, although u'll find that quite a few 'big names' use other engineers to mixdown tracks, because they have a particular sound they like, same as people use particular mastering engineers when they want a certain sound

I sometimes use tracktor as a mixdown reference. xD
Put a track you think is mixed perfectly in deck A, your own track in deck B and compare the waveforms.
In traktor 2 the frequencies also have colours, so if the track is darkblue it means there is too little high in the mix. if the whole track is white the track is lacking in low frequencies.

i would prefer to learn myself, but as i said, all i've got is a choice between shitty built in TV speakers and shitty ipod headphones.

But im gonna wait til i get some new cans in a few weeks and go back to it then with fresh ears.
