Anyone else downloaded this free from their site yet, I think it's utter shite!! I never use to get pop ups on my PC but I thought seeing as it's free & it's Microsoft it should be good enough to do checks for Anti Spyware etc, now I've got more popups then ever before & it's proving to be fooking annoying. Anyone else used this software yet?

Spybot is excellent and immunizes your system as well as removing dross - i.e. crap can't install. Run Spybot and Ad-Aware from time to time and together they'll find all the shit...

I tried it when it first went on beta, at home and at work. It seems Ok but I'm still confident Ad-Aware does a better job and doesn't need to run in the background all the time. To be honest, as long as you're careful, your chances of spy-ware and viruses are quite low to nil.

Still, there are plenty of people who aren't that 'Internet savvy', so more products to protect them must be better, right?
