Mic won't record through Audacity?

Hi guys, Just wondering if someone can help me out. I bought myself Shure SM58 vocal mic. I've pluged it into my Allen & Heath Xone 92 mixer. I use Audacity to record, it records the music fine but when I speak on the mic I can't hear myself? I use Behringer UCA202 U-Control to record. That goes from my mixer into my mac. Dunno if that's any help? I've tried pressing all mic buttons on the mixer but nothing. Any ideas peeps? Cheers for any help giving.

Is the mic producing a signal on the mixer?

can depend on which version of audacity u using for me it was just a case of downloading an older version

if the music is recorded properly audacity is fine.

do you hear yourself @ the headphones or pa?
it could be possible that your mixer doesn´t record the mic, just channel 1-4.

so it's what summit said, record out doesn't include mic. Route your main output to your computer some way and all will be good normally...
Only problem is you can't leave from your record out in other words.

Thanks for the replys I forgot about this thread. I give up trying record. But now new info come to light I shall try it all out. Let ya know if it works. Big up for the replys .
