So yeah, the clue is in the title really.

Who else here likes Mexican food?

Me & riisu go to any Mexican restaurant that we can, whenever really.

There's a place in Oxford called 'Mission' which is just does burritos which are TASTE.

And 'Wahaca' in Covent Garden which does street food which are just little bits like tapas but they also do burritos too.

Also been to a place in Soho called 'Mexicali' I think whoch is pretty decent too.

It's all about slow cooked pork

this looks good - good reviews , seems like the authentic mexican grub.. not sure if what we have here is authentic or not..

like our indian restraunts, are actually nothing to do with indian food in the slightest, they are britsh indian currys..

authentic indian cookbooks are completely different..

anyway.... i may buy this at some point.. add to my other 10000000000 cookbooks

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Authentic-M...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1268260265&sr=8-1

and a couple more for good measure

this has a decent reviews aswell ... and ive always gone by the rule of , never buy a cookbook with a cheesy photo of the chef on the front.. so this may be the one ..

@ Mr G, think we tried to go there once but it was closed (even though we went int here & the door was open)

@ Ethix - it's all about quesidillas. They're the tortilla with filling & cheese that they sorts grill on both sides. Love them.

Anyone who likes Mexican food, Wahaca is the one. There's one in Canary Wharf apparently as well as Covent Garden. It's a woman who won master chef a few years ago's restaurant.

Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, tamales, nachos, tortillas. I love them all.

The UK needs Taco Bell. So much more healthy than greasy burgers as fast food.

where i did my season they had a mexican restaurant b2b a snowboard shop b2b a skatepark. it was well nice, they had a massive shelf of all the different hot sauces you can imagine, and occasionally had taco eating contests (i only realised after they had finished) and a different offer each day of the week, like $2 tacos, or bogof on burritos etc. i miss that place, and mexican grub in general

Yeah mexican food is good. We went to a great mexican restaurant in NYC. First time I tried refried beans aswell. Our waiter was also the spitting image of Jack Black.

Its funny I love the stuff, but never really go out to eat it or cook it at home.

    I need to rectify this...

Anybody got any traditional recipes they would care to share?

I heart mexican food. And drinks And mexicans!
I've made my friend have a mexican themed 21st, just so then we can drink tequila and make cocktails and wear ponchos and somberos and eat all sorts of mexican food.

I like enchiladas, and nachos and jalapenos. :)
