I'm all for rapping over DNB beats, hey thats what its all about. But as far as just any old dude "MCing"? It seems rather lame to me, I mean granted I don't mind the MC if I'm at the actual live show, for a little bit, just to amp the crowd up. But I hate hearing an MC on ANY kind of set i download, even radio! The only talking I really wanna hear is occasional shout outs, event and release info, and track ID. I just find the general MC thing to be sorta an "anyone can do it" kinda thing. Like just rhyming simple shit and big upping the DJ. Example: Yo yo yo, we riding in nice and slow, its no easy feat, we can't be beat, etc, its always shit like that. Thoughts, ideas, opinions? How do you feel about MCS?

I mean trust - I know the whole background with Jamaica and the toasting, etc. BUT, someone who can rap has talent, basically anyone can be an MC and thats what I don't like. Like when I just hear some British dude kinda just rambling or whatever, I don't equate it with musical talent.

i would much rather listen to a set that has MC'in over the top of it than one that doesnt....so lond as its not really shite anyway.

i just think that with a decent MC you add a lot more to the set.

crowds get a lot more involved with an MC on a set IMO

I don't get how it adds to ANYTHING. If you hear a sick beat comin through those speakers, you're gonna fuckin dance, am i rite? I don't know about you, but I don't need an MC to get me going!

to me, true MCs are the ones that can rap, and I mean RAP, not just rhyming words together and saying "PUT CHA LIGHTAS IN THA AIR PUUUHLEAZE"
