drums sound muffled as if the high cutted some high frequencies off :/
Im a fan of the tune nevertheless :D
Maybe add a little delay on the vocal?
Like the bass variation on the 2nd drop :)
Nice tune man! :D

Its alright yeah, there is defo something weird going on with the mixdown though.

As the guys say those drums arent right or even close.

its a cheery little number though and could be banging if you pitched everything down an octave :teeth:

cheers man! delay on the vox is a nice idea, i'll try that out.
if I would only know what's wrong with the drums .. they sound good to me.
the original break had some nasty high freq ranges which I EQed in 3 places .. now it actually sounds fine to me.
but maybe its I believe my tracks always sound too bright (so I often EQ high frq. too much) ...
old ears I'm guessing :teeth:

still nice summer here in tokyo (well above 30C) so not in the mood for dark scotish tunes mate :teeth:

boys, apologies, you have been absolute right!
I was exporting V1 using the wrong settings -- therefore it had almost no high end.
I assume my old fatigue ears didn't catch that error :teeth: -- have I lost already so much hearing ability?

did quite a few changes in V2:
> increased high freq ranges (hope not too much)
> worked on bass 2nd drop (added some tiny high-freq. layer)
> EQed the drum bus to enhance transparency and definition
> worked on chorus reverb and increased volume of some vox parts
> lowered bass by -2db for more clarity
> pushed the master limiter for a bit more track volume

I hope V2 sounds a bit better than V1 ... let me know if I'm getting closer. cheers! :2thumbs:
for easy comparison I kept both track links above .. V1 and V2

even more ????

well well well ... I'll try to look at it guys. but trust me, the drum break without the EQing sounds awful. will look at it and try to get rid of the muffiness ...
