Manchester Drum & Bass Exhibition at Urbis

Urbis is hosting a brand new exhibition exploring the Drum & Bass music scene in Manchester. This largely photographic exhibition will take place in the Corridor Gallery at Urbis, from 7th November – February 2008.
This free exhibition will offer a snapshot of what is a very popular music scene within Manchester, focusing on key figures and club nights around the city. With interviews from promoters, DJs and those whose lives have become heavily influenced by the scene, the exhibition will attempt to express the popularity and rise Drum & Bass has enjoyed over the past 10 years.
Along with a host of photos they'll be video and audio so visitors can not help but come away with a true taster of one of Manchester most popular nights out!
To celebrate the launch of the exhibition Urbis will host its very own Drum & Bass night on Wednesday 7th November, from 8.30pm – 2.30am. The fantastic scratch DJ, DJ Shortee headlines, supported by a host of Manchester talent, including Prophecy (Metropolis), DJ Deval, Mr. Brown (Platoon) and Bane (Just Good Beats/Eastern Bloc). With Urbis generously putting on this mid seek session for free it's one not to be missed!
