Making that dutty jump up lead

Anyone got any tips on how to make that filth screechy jump up lead, something of a hedex kinda style. But in particular i was thinking like the one from this tune, been trying to create something similar for hours!


Can't find any good tuts on youtube for jump up leads either!

'schreechy' generally comes from pitch modulation - use an envelope.
Possibly a little frequency modulation in there? (or massive's alternative, the mod osc)
The rest seems to be a lot of distortion.

Not very sure tbh it's not the kind of sound I use much.

yeah that makes sense, was kinda wondering about the pluckyness in the sound too, would imagine it's some sort of filter envelope?
