Making Smooth Melodies for Liquid DnB

So, I've got my drum pattern going, sounds nice a lush.. Need to start making some melodies but i'm finding it hard making something nice and relaxing.

Want to make melodies how Dave Owen, Command Strange, and Paul SG do..

Any ideas and help will be appreciated?

Hum and whistle and sing stuff that sounds nice and then plot the things into the piano roll or similar just to get it down, play it through a piano synth instrument or something, start as simple as possible and then you can transfer the pattern over to different synths / instruments.

gonna be really hard to come up with decent melodies
