i know you really dig him and i do too but i dont find him quite as godly as you do. dont get me wrong he was the best but he did a lot of beats that was just meh like most of the fatlip solo album 'the lonliest punk' clear dilla signature beats, all but one or two total meh.

anyway how do i know if a laptop is dual core or not? is 2GHZ dual core?

Yeah but 200+ of his beats are spine tingling, has anyone ever done that before, really anyone, to that effect, and dont make me post them all. And fucking hell you met me one time at that point in time when I was swanning about did I ever give the aura that I knew shit about computers, I know a little about a lot, thats about the best youll ever get out of me.

no i agree his body of work is indisputable. its the soul in it that makes the hair on your neck stand up. BUT i need someone to answer me this goddamn question before i make a mug out of myself and buy a old urinated upon daily wheelchair geezer miniature penis laptop and try to give it as a present. look i dont care about this person much but its a promise and i want to get it right. and cheap.

@jmzmaloney -- that is jaylib live at the conga room in los angeles, 2004. the video appears on stones throw's dvd "stones throw 102".

@ETHIX -- Dilla and Madlib never made beats in the studio. neither of them really "worked with" anyone, they're more beat maker style than what's traditionally called a "producer". Dilla was more accomplished than Madlib, changing his style over twice during his ten year career. He was a natural, perfectionist, without sounding at all "perfect". Madlib on the other hand has the upper hand on pure freedom and experimental expression. Both these producers have tons of imitators, but the whole point is being original.
