I was wondering if its worth purchasing the mackie hrs sub to go with the hr624s or hr824s or you think theyre quite sufficiant to do the job on their own? I dont wanna add one only for it to be overkill on the subbass.

    Whats ya views?

do you mean the hrs120 sub?

i use a set of mackie mr8 mk1's and have a car sub that i switch on and off for testing out mixes. aparently the low frequency response on the hr824's is better though so to be honest you shouldnt need it but if you do have allot of spare cash i would go for it. the hrs120 has a built in crossover for your monitors so they wont clas and the sound you will get out of the setup would be insanely good quality (y)

I got the hr824 mk2s an you certainly wont need a sub with them, you're probably best using that money to get a decent soundcard instead if you not already got one. bass on the 624s obviously wont be as powerful but should imagine theyd also be more than enough for any normal sized room
