My macbook is on its way out now, getting a system overload every 10 seconds on a big project even when iv bounced as much down as i can.
Im looking into getting something new, just trying to decide whether to go for a mac mini (The cheaper one on the page)

or to go for a refurbished tower, something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121196293850

It guna be used purely for production, what do people suggest?

    Thanks

I'd go with the mac mini dude, I think there's a very similar thread on gearslutz if you search for it.

But I would wait and save an extra £80 for another 4gb of RAM though.

    I found this too...

I got a 17inch macbook pro and with 4gbs ram, runs smooth. Anything smaller is too small for editing, imo.

Using a 13" screen atm, find it alright, guess you just got to get used to the small screen haha
