M-class Equalizer help.

Right in Reason i use M-class Equalizer to EQ.

Obviously low cut does what it says, Low shelf will cut off everything beneath that. Hi-shelf will cut off everything above that. But what does Parameters 1 and 2 do, i'm self taught and i've got pretty far in 6 months but can someone explain this lol.

Thanks, o and if any1 has a link to a frequency chart, where it explains where to cut drums, bass, synth etc at, i would be grateful =)
