Loudness wars

I think loud is important personally. You want your tune fit in the mix with the other tracks it's being played with. If all tunes now are loud, then go when the flow.

When you are producing a track in a home studio and not sending it to be mastered... Compress the hell out of it. If you are a pro, let the pros master it.
