Following the impressive success of their debut release – BTK ‘Things I Do’ inc Spectrasoul remix #1 Beatport D&B chart – Demand Records are ready to set their next single free.
Committed to finding the best up-and-coming talent, Demand Records is proud to present ‘Spice Market’ the first Demand single from Lost Sequence & Codeshaper. The duo came to the attention of fellow Swiss mans and Demand Records label owners, Carlos Lehmann & Andreas Muoth, following some early releases on DSCi4, Fokus and Basswerk. But it’s this track that really got Demand Records excited. The jungle roots shine through from the very start, displaying a gracious nod to the old school, while keeping the music very much rooted in drum & bass’ present. Skipping breaks and light atmospheric touches pave the way for a rib-rattling bassline as ‘Spice Market’ rolls through with effortless D&B class.
Finalising the single, Dutch producer, Nymfo, steps up to offer his own reinterpretation of ‘Spice Market’. Stripping back the original into a sparser and darker affair, Nymfo adds a cavernous feel to the bass notes and stepping drums to provide a perfect contrast to the original. DJ Support from Doc Scott, A-Sides, DJ Lee, Dub Phizix, Ant-TC1, BTK, Mindscape, Black Sun Empire, Skream, Reso, Ed Solo etc.
