Several militant groups have claimed responsibility for it, and of course Al Quida has been mentioned as well on a Islamic website.

As youve mentioned Gord, its a disaster thats been waiting to happen for a several year, its no secret that the UKs up on the hate-list with the Yanks.

Could of been sheer insanity if it had happened last saturday at Live 8.

    proper harshness!

I feel for everyone cuaght up in it! It was obviously gonna happen at some point as we arent exactly loved by some groups. Its just a real bitch that innocent people get caught up in that shit when the real people who cause all this are tucked up miles away!

    Mood in London's strange.

    very quiet.

Mobile network's are out of use.

Been locked onto the 24hr tv news since it happened.

    pretty shocked...

condolences going out to the families of the 37 loved ones that have been lost, and to anybody in London who has been affected by this terrorist incident.

makes me sick to the stomach to think that people can do this to innocent people who are going about their daily lives

    :(
And big respect to all emergency services who are doing a sterling job in sorting out the chaos caused by the spineless idiots who create such chaos !!!

Keep strong dont let them win !!!

Absolutely, they have done an amazing job in keeping the situation calm and helping the City to maintain some sort of order.

I am appauled at the actions of so called "Islamists", these people do not represent anything to do with the Muslim faith and deserve every single piece of vengeance they will recieve. It was a cowardly act, attacking a city when it is at it's most vulnerable.

I sincerely hope though, that our government displays (as said by Tony Blair) a strong and controlled resolve, that is synonomous with the British people, please don't shout off and get trigger happy, like our friends from across the pond.

still waiting on word from Mrs' cousins (husband and wife who commute together), all UK family waiting by the phone on word from them...
    :(
i must say the way the UK authorities have handled this is exemplary. even the victims being interviewed on tv have this steely resolve about the situation.
