Last year some producer (I can't remember who it was) said there would be a new Sick Music in early 2012. Didn't happen but I guess it could still be on the cards.

I hope not. I wouldn't call 'Sick Music' a classic compilation

In fact, as far as Hospital are concerned, it's an oxymoron.

Hopefully they're re-visiting the Hospital Mix series. Would be interesting to hear one from SPY, or Nu:Tone

Sick Music 1 was pretty good.
Second one was a little less impressive admittedly, but I do think a third could have some decent tracks on it.

It's gonna be Sick Music 3 afaik. And I don't understand the complaint. Both Sick Music compilations have been really good and brought some real gems to the table.

Sick Music isn't a classic compilation series

When I think of classic compilation series for Hospital I think either Weapons of Mass Creation or Plastic Surgery

would look forward to sick music 3, 2 was definitely more hit and miss than the first but also definitely a reason to be excited, there's usually something for everyone

Classic usually refers to something older than 3/4 years

Nobody in their right mind would classify the Sick Music compilations as classics

Dunno about Balaclava In My System, doesn't compare to neither of the originals, Memory Lane is more like a guilty pleasure to me (best Netsky's tune imo) and I don't really rate Turn Up (The Music) that much :)

Turn Up (The Music) was when I first started questioning Hospital's output

Another sick music would be awesome, loved the first 2, especially the first. Beautiful Lies is one of my most played vinyls

These aren't cars, they're dnb tracks. Age don't matter. I would definitely class Beautiful Lies, Snow and Painted Black as absolute liquid classics. Same way I would classify Floating Zero as a tech classic.

Really refreshing to hear someone standing firm in their mixing format. So many DJs have claimed they've been forced into quitting mixing with vinyl as clubs don't maintain their equipment. Most of these artists are all booked through agencies with contracts drawn up well in advance. Its the promoter/organizer's responsibility to meet the terms of the contract and supply decent equipment. Fair enough if you just want to move with the times but no one's forcing it.
