hey guys, i made a new tune!

    Chunk (feat. Splinter)
    Style: Techstep
    Format: MP3
    Playing time: 6:30
    Release date: March 2007

A subtle, somewhat minimal piece of classic techstep. Not pushing the envelope so much as trying to perform within it. Boasting a plenthora of warped synths and barking riffs backed by a wave of subs and steppy breaks, this is, chunky to say the least.

Tell me what you think, any input is welcome!!

Great track, not overbearing. I like the intro because it adds suspense and seriousness to the forthcoming drumline. Good mix of the high and low synth sounds that have great depth and clarity to them. Someone important has to notice this track. Very dark moody track. Great work.

Grits, M. Progression, thank you for listening lads, glad you like it!!

Worth mentioning is that the percussion in the intro is actually splinter jerking a jack plug in a reverb pedal.

yeah this took me back to the late 90s, techsteppin biznis indeed. I like it after the brealdown about 4m:50s when that vocal comes in and the whole lot winds out.

thanks lads im really glad you like it!! your words are much appreciated.

almost all the samples come from splinters new microkorg, we spent two hours patching it with different effect boxes and amps on the first session, its a great sounding piece of kit, i highly recommend it!
