NEWS JUST IN... With NYE now just six weeks away, we have been busy dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s on our lineup for Get Loaded in the Dark, the New Years Eve spectacular at the O2 Academy Brixton. Already recognised as ‘The Red Hot ticket this New Years Eve’, Get Loaded in the Dark will witness 4500 ravers descend on London’s favourite venue and go nuts to the most exciting artists in the scene. Now boasting an incredible 40 acts playing across 4 arenas, this festival-esque event has all the hallmarks of being a truly unforgettable night... This will be further cemented when we announce details of the VERY special midnight guest which will be revealed via our website and Facebook groups next Friday 27th November! And believe us when we say you will not be disappointed! Before then however here are details of yet more awesome acts added to the bill for this absolute monster of a night... JUST CONFIRMED FOR THE MAIN ARENA... Eddy Temple Morris presents The Remix Riot http://www.myspace.com/eddytemplemorris “Without question this is the best line up in London on NYE so I'm both honoured and delighted to be on the bill... plus it's the second year running that I'll be in Brixton Academy as the years change but this time I'll be a local resident and able to have a few drinks and stagger home on foot, so I'm looking forward to it more than ever!” The lonely divides between music genres are not something that Eddy TM batters an eye-lid to. Throughout the years he has spent behind the decks and since the birth of his radio show ‘The Remix’ on XFM, Eddy has impressively merged the sounds of dance and rock. Alongside Tom Bellamy of ‘The Cooper Temple Clause’ he has remixed bands such as The Gossip and Rage Against The Machine, whilst his own event ‘The Remix All Nighter’ successfully tours across the UK. For his set at Get Loaded in the Dark, Eddy’s tracklist will be decided by the Great British public as he invites his listeners throughout December to choose their favourite tracks as part of the ‘Midnight Madness’ request section of his XFM show. The tracks chosen here as well as those suggested through his Remix Update newsletter (www.remixupdate.co.uk) will make up his ‘Remix Riot’ set which will act as the perfect finale to a boundary pushing New Years Eve. The duo hit the studio in 2008 due to their shared love of black music. Since then they have shared their ideas and combined their talents to produce remixes of artists such as chart topper Kid Cudi, Yo Majesty and Detroit’s Amp Fiddler. Due to their recent success the London based outfit have been able to spread their wings and take their sound across the UK and beyond. They now have a weekly show on Ministry of Sound Radio and brooklynradio.net in New York City, whilst recent performances have seen GreenMoney deliver outstanding sets at Annie Mac presents, The Warehouse Project and Fabric Live and we’re now delighted to welcome them to Get Loaded in the Dark. Expect Green Money to close the gap between house, hip-hop, drum & bass and breakbeat, in an eclectic style that is sure to take them to new heights. Proving to be a bit of a DJ as well, he supported Frankmusik at the launch of his debut single earlier this year and has since gone on to support him on his recent nationwide tour. But he’s not just good at picking the right friends… the guys got serious talent to back it up. He can take songs with no electronic edge and turn them into epic keyboard masterpieces. He recently made his vocal debut alongside the highly regarded Ellie Goulding on his remix of Passion Pits sleepy head and he’s now set to follow this up with his new singles ‘Love In Two’ and ‘On Second Thoughts’. Now looking to step up to the plate we welcome Starsmith to Get Loaded in the Dark as he makes the transition from behind the scenes whiz kid to star of the scene. AND HEADLINING THE SNOWBOMBING ARENA...
