Yeah this laser turntable is a wicked cool concept....it's definately designed for people with large record collections/archives to protect them as there is no degradation in sound quality of the record with each successive play. Yeah it's expensive but for those who are trying to preserve their music, their records are probably worth FAR more than what this deck costs anyways.

heard bout this at the Library of Congress...they were picking up Thomas Jefferson's actual voice on old vinyl
