Really like this. The percussion is very delicate and well integrated as are the other background elements. Feels like there is bit of distortion on that main synth, though.

You're right, that distortion comes from ableton live autofilter with high resonance.
An analog distortion would sound nicer.
The synth I used on that part is a Roland SH-101, with its classic square-ish portamento lead.

just get those drums poppin' and i think you've got yourself something quite good here bud, i like the sound of the snare but its gotta pop a little bit more
love the intro, and the water-drop-snare, cool man. eerie piano violin combo is effective
