elo all.

thought id give it a go, its not as bad as it sounds lol.
im concerned about the repetition from 1.30ish onwards.
had some other stuff in there but took it out.
if its boring let me know. should be on monitors in the next couple of weeks, so can start practicing proper mixdowns then.

all feedback welcome (y)

-first track on the soundclick

edit: listened on hifi and i think first kick in the intro needs much more power/bass, and drums after drop (hihats in particular) need to be less top end heavy. anyone agree?

it's very loud.
Nice strings!
Vocal edits are solid.

Both the kick and main bass need more oomph.
Kick: time to get layering..
Bass: Maybe layer a sub behind it and make it pulse in time?

I reckon the drums could use a little extra something. What you've got is good but I mean an extra cymbal or bit of percussion, something to add a bit of grit too. It sounds super clean, especially in the intro.
Nice idea for a remix tho. I like it.
PS: the bass dominates the mix at the moment, but you can sort that out easy enough.

thanks for the comments all (y)

@mattdma - ill see what i can do with that sound

@chromey - i got a sub behind the bass but ur right theres no movement its just straight, ill have a play round with it

@subprime - definitely know what u mean. i did think myself it was a bit too clean. was wondering if i could get away with it but i did add a little distortion, have to amp that up. listening back the intro is sparse as fuck aswell.

any other takers?
